Ansa Assuncao, LLP Petitions the United States Supreme Court for Review of a New Jersey Supreme Court Decision

Ansa Assuncao, LLP attorneys Steven Gooby, Arthur Fergenson and James Coons have prepared and filed a Petition for Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court seeking review of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s recent decision in Nicastro v. McIntyre Machinery America, Ltd., 201 N.J. 48, 987 A.2d 575 (2010), under which New Jersey courts are now permitted to exercise in personam jurisdiction over a foreign manufacturer based solely on a showing that its product was purchased by a New Jersey consumer.
